Renovation steps

01.Planning layout
Classic solution:
Around the ceiling: Hide the light strip to create a floating ceiling effect.
Bottom of the bed/headboard: Create a "floating bed" atmosphere.
Wardrobe/mirror edge: Add a sense of layering.
Creative points:
Attach to the inside of the curtain box, turn on the light like an aurora curtain.
Along the bookshelf compartment or display cabinet, highlight the decorations.
2.Install the light strip
- Cleaning the surface: Wipe the pasting area with alcohol to ensure that there is no dust.
- Strip: Cut as needed (note the scissor mark on the light strip, usually at the copper contact).
- Fixing method:
Direct pasting: Tear off the 3M adhesive and stick it tightly, press for 10 seconds to reinforce.
Snap installation: First fix it with a snap, then embed the light strip (suitable for long-term use).
Corner processing: Use an L-type device or a flexible light strip to bend naturally (avoid 90-degree folding to damage the circuit).
3. Wiring and debugging
- Connect the controller
Make sure the positive and negative poles are correct (red wire to positive pole, black wire to negative pole). - Hide the wires:
Use a wire trough or run through the gap of the skirting.
The power supply can be hidden behind the bedside table or behind the curtain. - Test effect:
APP debugging: Download brand applications, synchronize music rhythm or set a timer switch.
Voice control: Bind Alexa/Google Home, and change color when shouting.
Atmosphere inspiration
Sleep mode
Set warm yellow light (2700K) + 10% brightness.
Party time
Enable rainbow gradient or breathing effect.
Movie night
Deep blue + backlight to reduce screen glare.
Advanced tips
DIY diffusion layer: Cover the light strip with frosted PVC film for softer light.
Safety tips
Avoid folding or soaking the light strip for a long time (silicone is waterproof but long-term contact with water is not recommended).
The power does not exceed the adapter load (about 7-14W per meter of light strip).
