Lighting requirements

First of all, LED light strips are necessary to clarify whether the purpose of the light strip is main lighting or atmosphere lighting. If it is used in the work area, such as under the kitchen counter, bookshelf lighting, etc., you need to choose a light strip with higher brightness. Generally, it is recommended to have a brightness of about 300-500 lumens/meter. You can check the lumen parameters in the product manual to determine.

2. Color and color temperature selection

For work environments that require natural white light, such as study rooms, offices, etc., you can choose neutral white light with a color temperature of 4000-5000K. This light color is close to natural light and can provide a comfortable visual experience.
If you are looking for a warm atmosphere, such as in bedrooms and restaurants, warm white (color temperature 2700 - 3000K) is a good choice.
For places with strong decorative features, such as bars and stages, you can consider colored light strips or light strips with color-changing functions, which can create a variety of visual effects according to different scenes.

Indoor: If it is only used in dry indoor environments, such as living rooms and bedrooms, ordinary non-waterproof light strips can meet the needs, and the price is relatively low.
Outdoor: If it is used outdoors, such as building outline lighting, garden lighting, etc., you must choose a light strip with good waterproof performance. The waterproof level must be at least IP65 to ensure that it can resist the intrusion of rain and dust. At the same time, the temperature changes in the outdoor environment must be considered, and a light strip that can adapt to the corresponding temperature range must be selected.

Consider where the light strip will be installed, whether it is installed in a straight line or needs to be bent. If it is installed on a curved surface, such as a round column, a curved stair handrail, etc., choose a light strip with good flexibility so that it can fit the installation surface tightly.
Pay attention to the size of the space where the installation is located, and make sure that the size and shape of the light strip are suitable for the space. For example, if you install it inside a narrow cabinet, you should choose a narrower light strip to avoid taking up too much space.

If you need to adjust the light brightness according to different scenes, such as adjusting it according to the viewing and resting state in a home theater, or creating different sleeping and waking atmospheres in the bedroom, then it would be more appropriate to choose a light strip with dimming function. There are many ways to dim, including knob dimming, remote control dimming, mobile phone APP dimming, etc., which can be selected according to personal preference.
